Peristyle is a site where Architects, Scholars, Architectural Historians and Lovers of Architecture can download architectural drawings of reconstructed historical buildings

Although the site is still being developed, we have decided to make available the drawings we already have to enable you to start enjoying them. The ideal is to, eventually, assemble a database of architectural drawings of historically significant buildings as aids for study, research and tutoring or simply for enjoyment.

Style and format

The drawings were created electronically but in the style and tradition of the architectural delineators of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. They are unique and accurate and are saved in Adobe Acrobat Professional (PDF) format to ensure that all the definition and detail of the original drawing is retained. To get an idea of the level of detail in the drawings, please download and print the free sample drawing elsewhere on this page.

Downloading the drawings

After you have paid for your drawings, you will be able to download them from the site directly onto your own computer. You can then open them with Adobe Acrobat Reader and print or plot them to any scale, on any paper and on any printer or plotter available to you.
